Brothers, and Sisters,

I would like to extend a very Merry Christmas and a healthy, safe,and profitable New Year from my family to yours.

This past year we have accomplished a lot ,and have much more work to do.  Together we were able to negotiate the furloughs with the administration that resulted in minimal impact on us financially.

Also, together we donated and placed in service 6  R.I.T. bags on various apparatus in the Charleston Fire Department.

We were able to establish an F.D.I.D. number with S.C.F.A. so that our members could continue their training without any restrictions.

With the first time in C.F.D. history we have established an open line communication with administration as well with the Mayors office.

With that said a spacial thanks goes out to Mayor Joe Riley, Chief Tom Carr, and Deputy Fire Chiefs John Tippett, and Frank Finley for their willingness and dedications to making this a better fire department.

2010, promises to be a year of excitement with the new Budget, and training opportunities.  I look forward to serving as your president and thank you for your continued support
